Unknown 12:06 a.m. Dec. 15
The pounding on his front door was desperate and frantic. Junsu had worried it was one of his elderly neighbors needing assistance, until he swung open the door and saw the panicked face of his friend. Jaejoong plowed past him, stomping into his living room.
"Junsu-yah, you've got to help me. I can't find him. I've tried calling, texting, everything, and he won't— What are you doing here?" Jaejoong froze at the sight of Changmin sitting on Junsu's couch. The younger boy blushed slightly before setting down a steaming mug and crossing his arms.
"I'm visiting Junsu. What's it look like?"
"'Visiting Junsu?' Where's Yunho?"
Changmin frowned. "I don't know. I haven't heard from him since the party. Even if I did know, I wouldn't tell you."
Jaejoong's heart clenched. "I have to see him, Changmin-sshi. Please. I have to...I need to speak with him."
"I'm sure he doesn't want to speak with you. Hell, I don't really want to speak with you."
"There was a mistake. A misunderstanding. I have to tell him the truth."
"And what's the truth?" Changmin asked caustically
Jaejoong bit his lip, his face turning bright red. "Not what he thinks it is. I'd never ... I'm not like that."
"He learned what you're like. You're hateful and don't care about anyone but yourself. Hyung's doing the right thing staying far away from you. Just leave him and me alone."
"Changmin-ah," a soft voice scolded. Jaejoong jumped, startled. He'd nearly forgotten Junsu was even there. "Come on, Minnie-yah, don't be so harsh. Jaejoong-hyung's not like that at all."
"He makes fun of you all the time," Changmin responded, an angry glint in his eye
Junsu went to sit next to Changmin on the couch. "He doesn't mean it like that. Jaejoong-hyung just says things — and does things — without thinking sometimes."
Jaejoong opened his mouth to respond before being silenced by a pointed glare from Junsu.
"If you called Yunho, he'd answer, wouldn't he?" Junsu grabbed an iced cookie snowman from a plate on the the coffee table and held it out for Changmin. Changmin took it and turned away, his cheeks slightly pink.
"Probably," he answered. He bit off the snowman's head.
"Can you call him and have him meet hyung? Please?"
"Why should I?"
Junsu smiled before grabbing the cookie from Changmin's hand and nibbling where the other boy had bitten. "It would make Jaejoong-hyung happy," he said, licking crumbs off his lips. "And since he's my friend, that would make me happy."
Changmin stared at the tip of Junsu's pink tongue. It took him a moment, but he shook his head to clear it before turning to Jaejoong and frowning. "Fine," he said tightly. "I'm not doing this because I care about you or anything, though. I just don't want you harassing Junsu."
Junsu smiled and held the half-eaten cookie out for Changmin. The younger boy flushed before timidly eating the cookie from his hand.
Yunho-hyung? Where r u?
Min 7:13 p.m. Dec. 16
Home. Don't feel like hanging out.
Yunho 7:19 p.m. Dec. 16
I'm coming by to pick up my good black slacks. Can you bring them to the car?
Min 7: 25 p.m. Dec. 16
Yunho 7:32 p.m. Dec. 16
Yunho looked up at the clear night sky and sighed wistfully at the bright full moon that stared down at him. A fool and the moon. How perfect an irony.
The glee that had bloomed in Yunho's heart when he'd spotted Jaejoong at the party was quickly doused when he heard the spiteful words the other boy had been shouting at his friend. The words were said out of anger; Jaejoong's natural spiteful reaction whenever he was picked on. He was certain of that when he saw the look of horror on his face when he'd turned to face him.
Still, the words had hurt and had reminded Yunho of why he was so reluctant to fall completely for the other boy. Wanting Jaejoong was too risky, and Yunho was too afraid. Afraid that maybe, just maybe, he'd read too much into their strange and twisted relationship. He thought about the Jaejoong who'd sang so beautifully during noraebang, the Jaejoong he'd played footsie with in the park, and the Jaejoong he had touched that day in his bedroom. That was the Jaejoong he wanted to get to know, but every time he saw him, Jaejoong quickly hid him away.
Junsu had called him a crab. Yunho didn't know much about the animal, but he wouldn't be surprised if they lived completely alone. As far as he knew, they deserved to.
"Where are you, Min-ah?" Yunho mumbled under his breath. He dropped the folded slacks he'd been holding onto the front lawn and jogged in place to keep warm. He practiced a few dance steps on the driveway, eager to let the chill of the air and his own exertion clear his depressing thoughts
A few minutes later, an unfamiliar car pulled across the street from his house and dropped a passenger off in front of the house. The driver waved at him eagerly before zipping off. It took Yunho a moment to recognize the driver's face as Yoochun's. When he looked up, Jaejoong was nervously making his way to him.
"Hi," he said with a wave when he approached
"What are you doing here?"
Jaejoong smiled nervously. "Meeting you."
"Changmin's supposed to be coming by."
"He won't be. I asked him to text you for me, so we could talk."
Yunho scoffed. "I'm impressed. Maybe I'm not as big a fool as I thought I was if you're able to pull him around, too."
"You're not a fool," Jaejoong said, face pained. "I just —"
"Save it. If Changmin's not here, I'm going back inside."
"Wait, please, just let me finish."
"You're already done. I served my time. You fixed my father's watch. Our deal is over. Goodbye, Kim Jaejoong." Yunho turned swiftly on his foot and began storming away.
"You owe me!" Jaejoong shouted into the chilly night air.
"My favor, remember? For lending you half the money? You owe me."
"You've got a lot of nerve asking me — "
"To fulfill a promise? You're not some kind of cheater are you?" Jaejoong asked, repeating Yunho's own words from their first meeting back at him.
Yunho's scowl deepened as he bit back a reply. He stared at Jaejoong in contempt for a moment before shaking his head. "Okay," he said darkly. He stalked over to where Jaejoong stood and looked down his nose at the other boy. "What do you want? What else could you possibly want from me?"
"You have to do it. Whatever I ask," Jaejoong said hesitantly.
"Forgive me," Jaejoong pleaded. "I'm sorry, Yunho-yah. I got scared, I said things I didn't mean, and I hurt you. Please, forgive me?"
"Fine, you're forgiven," Yunho said curtly. He turned to walk away.
"No, you have to mean it," Jaejoong cried, grabbing his arm. "Forgive me, Yunho-yah, or give me a chance to earn your forgiveness. I'm sorry, please."
Yunho wrenched his arm away. "You don't need me, remember? You don't need anyone. You treat everyone like dirt and do nothing but embarrass me. What in the hell makes you think I want you hanging around me?"
"Please don't be cruel."
"Why not? You're cruel to everyone else." Yunho kicked a rock toward Jaejoong's feet. "I don't know why I thought you'd treat me different."
"You are different," Jaejoong pled. "I thought you told Heechul about what happened between us. I didn't want him to know ... I didn't want anyone to know that the only reason you were friends with me was because I had to force you to."
"You did! You think I would have put up with you otherwise?"
"No!" Jaejoong cried. Tears were streaming down his face now. "And I knew that. At first I didn't care, but then ..." He struggled to regain his composure, wiping at his face furiously. It was useless, however. His face burned as the pain and fear he'd been holding back for nearly two weeks came flowing forth
"Don't cry, Jaejoong," Yunho ordered. He held his fists against his sides and glared angrily at the shorter boy
Jaejoong turned away, his face buried in his hands.
"I said, don't cry," he repeated louder. "I'm supposed to be mad at you, and you're cheating."
Jaejoong cried harder.
Yunho sighed heavily. He rushed over to where Jaejoong stood and pulled him into a hug. "I didn't tell Heechul anything," he whispered. "I don't know how he found out. Maybe we weren't as discreet as we thought." He drew the smaller boy close to him, pressing close to conserve body heat. Jaejoong wrapped his arms around his back and buried his face in Yunho's chest.
"I was right about you," he grumbled softly, flicking a piece of Jaejoong's hair from underneath his nose.
"What?" Jaejoong asked, sniffling.
"I said I was right. You're a manipulative, cold, self-centered jerk."
Jaejoong struggled to calm his breathing. "I was wrong about you," he said into Yunho's coat.
"You're ... perfect. You're better than me, kinder than me. That's why everyone loves you. That's why I love you," he finished quietly. He could feel Yunho stiffen around him. "But," he added quickly, "I don't expect you to love me back. Just forgive me. I can't stand it if we went back to how we were before. We can just be friends, we can just meet up in the park to play chess, I don't care. Just, please, don't ignore me."
"I don't want to be friends," Yunho admitted after a moment.
Jaejoong inhaled sharply and prepared to pull away. Only Yunho's firm grasp around him kept him from fleeing.
"I don't want to be just friends," he repeated. He ran a finger gently across Jaejoong's cheek, wiping away his tears. When Jaejoong met his eyes, he felt a warm heat coil in his belly at the hunger he saw in them.
"Kiss me," Jaejoong said softly.
Yunho's mouth twitched up in a playful grin. "Are you asking or ordering?"
"Our deal's over. Why should I listen?"
Jaejoong swallowed nervously. "Because you want to."
Yunho couldn't argue with that logic. Instead, he leaned forward and kissed the other boy gently on the mouth.
Neither of them remembered the trek to Yunho's house, let alone the rush through it to his bedroom. Their coats and clothes were shed as they stumbled clumsily across his room until they were both stripped down to their underwear. Yunho collapsed on top of Jaejoong, both of them landing in a heap on the bed in a fit of hushed giggles and soft kisses. Yunho hovered over Jaejoong and fit himself between his parted legs. Long limbs wrapped around his waist and pulled him closer. He laced their fingers together as he pressed the boy underneath him deeper into the mattress. Eager, warm lips traveled across Jaejoong's lips, down his jaw, and nipped at his neck
"Your parents?" Jaejoong gasped as a slick tongue traced the shell of his ear.
"Christmas party. Lots of alcohol. They'll be too sloshed to make it home." Yunho continued exploring Jaejoong's neck, running kisses and wet tongue across his Adam's apple. So overwhelmed with the rush of pleasurable sensation, Jaejoong felt no need to hold back the sigh that escaped his lips
"I want you."
Yunho stilled and pulled back. "You want what?" he asked. "You want to try ... ?" He bit his lip nervously, unable to finish.
Jaejoong's face, neck, and bare shoulders flushed pink as he met Yunho's gaze. "Yes, please."
"I've never done this."
"Neither have I."
Yunho ran a hand down the slighter boy's abdomen and across his boxer-clad hip. "I don't want this to hurt," he said.
"I'll be fine," Jaejoong comforted. "You know what to do?"
Yunho grinned down at him mischievously. "I have an idea."
"You won't push me away this time?" Jaejoong gave a half-hearted laugh as he said it, but Yunho could tell the words were sincere. "It won't be worth it if you ignore me afterward. I don't want you to hate me, Yunho-yah. I —" Yunho shut him up with a deep kiss. Nimble fingers worked their way down his lean belly and across his hip
He pulled Jaejoong's boxers down and helped Jaejoong kick them past his ankles before ridding himself of his own. He wrapped his hand around Jaejoong's length and slid it up and down rhythmically, nibbling on the other boy's pale shoulder as he thrust into his hand. Yunho's touch was clumsy as he rushed to stroke Jaejoong to hardness and his long, cool fingers fumbled awkwardly as they attempted to move in sync with Jaejoong's erratic thrusts. The older boy giggled lightly, finding Yunho's awkwardness amusing considering the experience they'd already shared.
"Are you laughing at me?" Yunho questioned. Jaejoong saw the insecurity in his dark brown eyes. The rush of emotion that swelled in his heart as he took in the endearing sight left him grinning like a fool
"Never," he whispered. He sat up and pulled the other boy toward him, kissing him slowly and leisurely. As they continued their gentle exploration of each other, Yunho reached into his night stand to grab a small, unopened bottle of lube.
"Aren't you well-prepared?" Jaejoong purred in his ear.
"Heechul gave it to me as a joke. Bet he'd die if he knew who I was using it with."
Jaejoong pouted before burying his face in Yunho's neck and nibbling at the skin there. "Can we not talk about him right now?"
"We don't have to talk at all." Yunho nuzzled his face close and ran his tongue across Jaejoong's lower lip before slipping in between his parted lips. Jaejoong fell back onto the bed, arms still wrapped around Yunho's neck, allowing the more dominant boy to have his way with his mouth. He closed his eyes and let the rush of sensations overtake him. He hissed sharply in surprise when Yunho shoved a single lubricated finger inside him.
"I'm sorry," Yunho comforted. He kissed the wetness from Jaejoong's eyes. He waited until the smaller boy had adjusted around him before slowly adding a second and then a third finger. Jaejoong twisted desperately as the pain radiated up his body before dulling to sharp ache.
"Do you want me to —"
"No," Jaejoong ordered. "I still want this. Please ... " He grabbed ahold of the bedsheets and tried to relax. After a moment, he found himself instinctively rocking against Yunho's fingers, moving at a cautious pace until he'd grown accustomed to his intrusion. He let out a breathy moan as Yunho scissored his fingers inside of him and arched his back off the bed.
"Enough," he panted after a few minutes. "I want you in me now."
"We shouldn't rush," Yunho murmured, twisting his fingers inside Jaejoong. "The slower we go, the better for you." In truth, he wanted nothing more than to push himself into the other boy. He was achingly hard, driven to near loss of control by the beautiful moans he was able to draw from the other boy. The voice he'd fallen in love with sounded completely different in this state. As the slim boy panted underneath him, Jaejoong's voice came out raw and ragged at the edges, lacking its normal polish due to his loss of control. Yunho was in awe of the fact that he was the one who'd been able to draw such a magnificent sound out of the other boy.
"I don't care," Jaejoong replied. "You. I need to feel you. Please." He closed his eyes, still twisting on Yunho's fingers as he panted the word over and over. Please, please, please, please. The word grew more desperate each time he repeated it.
That was enough to shred the little control Yunho had left. He withdrew his fingers from Jaejoong and slathered his cock with more of the lubrication. He positioned himself at Jaejoong's entrance, and with a gentle kiss on his lips, he pushed himself past the tight ring of muscle. Jaejoong gasped sharply as the other boy pushed further into him.
"I'm sorry," Yunho said again. He wrapped his hand around Jaejoong's hardness, hoping the pleasure would ease some of the pain. "Are you sure you're okay? We can stop."
"Stop asking," Jaejoong breathed. He exhaled slowly, waiting for his body to adjust around the other boy. "I said, I want this. I want you."
Yunho began moving — slowly — inside the smaller boy. His thrusts were shallow, at first. His hesitance to hurt the other boy was the only thing holding him back from bucking roughly into his heat. Jaejoong's soft whimpers encouraged him.
He leaned over him, their eyes meeting, as his thrusts grew in strength and frequency. "Louder," he groaned. He pressed himself closer and deeper, filling Jaejoong even more completely. "I want to hear you yell for me." And soon, the other boy was. He throaty moans soon became cries of pleasure that encouraged Yunho to go faster, harder, and deeper.
Yunho didn't last as long as he wanted, not with Jaejoong's warmth so tight around him, and him shouting his name. He came, hard and fast, still inside Jaejoong. Drained from his climax, Yunho felt his legs weaken and he collapsed on top of the smaller boy. Pulling out of Jaejoong, he curled into the his side and pulled him close. He pressed kisses onto his shoulder blade as he murmured into his sweat dampened skin.
Jaejoong huffed impishly as he wiggled closer to Yunho's searching lips. "You don't waste any time do you?"
Yunho flushed and hide his face in Jaejoong's neck. "I know. I was too fast. I'm sorry. I've just never ... and you're so ..." Yunho squeezed Jaejoong in a tight hug, unable to finish his sentence.
"Well, I've never either, and you are too, but you don't see me tiring out so early in the game."
"Joongie ... " the younger boy whined. "I said I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he repeated over and over, punctuating each declaration with a kiss.
"It's okay," Jaejoong assured him. He adjusted himself, settling Yunho more comfortably on top of him, and pressed his lips to his temple. "I was just teasing, baby. You felt so good. That was amazing."
"No, it wasn't. You're still ... you didn't." Yunho reached down shyly to wrap his fingers around Jaejoong's still-hard cock. As he pumped the other man, eliciting another satisfied groan from the older man, he made his way down his lean body, leaving trails of kisses along his jaw, neck, and collarbone. He sucked gently on one pink nipple and dipped his tongue in the other's navel. Jaejoong carded his fingers through Yunho's hair and parted his legs wider as he guided him toward his true goal
He gasped as Yunho lapped cautiously at the bead of pre-cum on the head of Jaejoong's cock. Yunho took him into his mouth, engulfing as much of the other boy as he could without gagging. Slowly, he pulled back, his lips dragging across the pink skin. He suckled on the sensitive flesh, mindful of his teeth, and began to move in quick rhythm up and down its length. He could feel Jaejoong writhing underneath him and pressed down on his hips to keep the other boy from thrusting into his mouth.
"Yunho," he mewled. "Stop or I won't last long."
Yunho ignored him and continued to suck him off. He did slow the pace down, though. He teased the slit at the head of Jaejoong's cock, enjoying the way the other boy squirmed. He chuckled, snorting through his nose causing his breath to puff gently against the skin at the juncture of Jaejoong's thighs. The older man shivered a bit and tightened his grip in Yunho's hair.
With little warning, Jaejoong's own release was coming hot and fast in his mouth. He took it all, swallowing the slightly bitter fluid and licking Jaejoong's cock clean. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand before glancing up at the satisfied boy. Jaejoong smiled before gesturing for Yunho to come to his arms. He did, settling himself close in Jaejoong's embrace. He nipped gently at the underside of Jaejoong's jaw before lacing his fingers with his.
"You kind of gave up early, too." he teased.
Yunho laughed. "I think I love you, anyway," he said, his breath puffing on Jaejoong's chest.
"Sex tends to do that to people."
"Idiot," Yunho responded fondly.
"You love this idiot."
He tickled Jaejoong's side, grinning into Jaejoong's neck as he tried to escape searching fingers. "True."
They lay together, warm, sated, and completely content with simply listening to the sound of each other's hearts.
"Yunho-yah?" Jaejoong's voice, soft and shy, interrupted the silence
"I think I love you back."
When Jaejoong woke a few hours later, he panicked for a moment when he didn't recognize his surroundings. He relaxed when he spotted Yunho sitting at the foot of the bed, tan back toward him. He leaned over to flip on the lamp on Yunho's nightstand.
"Hey," he said, combing his fingers through his hair. He pulled a knit blanket up to his neck and wrapped his arms around his knees. He felt ridiculous, hiding underneath the blankets like some sort of teenage girl.
Yunho turned to look back at him and smiled affectionately, chasing away all of his insecurities. "Hey," he replied warmly.
"What are you doing?" Jaejoong asked shyly, straining to see the object in Yunho's hands. The other boy hid whatever he was doing as he turned to face Jaejoong.
"It's a surprise."
"A surprise for me?"
Yunho crawled up from the foot of the bed, hand still behind him, and kneeled in front of Jaejoong. "A surprise for you. Do you want it now or do you want to wait until Christmas morning?"
Jaejoong beamed and held his hands out eagerly. Yunho chuckled. "I'll take that as now. First you have to close your eyes."
The older boy squeezed his eyes shut. "Okay. Now what?"
"Hold out your arm." Jaejoong did, palm up. Yunho turned it over gently. Jaejoong could feel something cold and heavy being clasped onto his wrist. He didn't even have to open his eyes to know what it was.
"I can't accept this," he said when he opened his eyes and looked at Yunho's father's watch wrapped around his wrist. "Yunho-yah, this is your father's."
"Yes, you can," Yunho answered, crawling up the bed to lie next to Jaejoong. "And, no, it's not. Not anymore." The younger boy grinned sheepishly. "He caught me trying to sneak it back into his dresser. I had to tell him the truth about what happened. He said he was disappointed but appreciated me getting it fixed on my own. He gave it to me as an early Christmas gift. I want you to have it."
"This is too sentimental for you to just give away," Jaejoong argued.
"Oh, I'm not giving it away."
"I need another favor," Yunho said with a smile.
"What type of favor?"
"Me owning that has brought me nothing but bad luck. First, I broke it and then I nearly lost you. So, I was hoping you'd hold onto it for me."
Jaejoong grinned, fingering the ornate gold band before glancing up at Yunho. "It's a very expensive watch. Are you sure you can trust me with something so valuable?"
"I worried about that myself."
Jaejoong pouted. That was not the answer he was expecting
Yunho grinned before tracing his finger along Jaejoong's jaw. "You may have to leave some collateral."
With a warm smile, Yunho took Jaejoong's hand and settled it above the older boy's heart. "If you can trust me with this, then I think I'll be able to trust you with my father's watch."
"You sap," Jaejoong whispered lowly, avoiding the other's eyes
The other boy looked up to see Yunho staring at him with eyes full of warmth and adoration. He grinned and brought Yunho's hand to rest above his heart.
"Sounds like a good deal to me."
One month later
"I thought having me around would make you nicer," Yunho lamented aloud as he ushered Jaejoong through the doors of the noraebang suite.
"I am nicer ... to you," Jaejoong pointed out.
At the sound of their entrance, Junsu looked up from the list of songs displayed on the suite's bright monitor and flashed a quick smile at Yunho before turning back to the screen and ignoring Jaejoong completely. The older boy sighed and tugged off his coat
"How long do you think it will take for him to forgive me this time?"
"An hour," Yunho answered confidently. "Half an hour if Changmin brought alcohol." He looked over to see his friend slung over Junsu and whispering into his ear. If the flush in Junsu's cheeks was any indication, the other boy wasn't whispering any requests for songs. Yoochun sat a few feet away. He made an exaggerated gagging face at Jaejoong before gulping down the contents of his glass. It was anybody's guess as to how many drinks he'd consumed already.
"I'm starting to believe he only pretends to get angry with me so I'll treat him special and pay for the room."
Yunho rolled his eyes. "You got him body shaper underwear for Christmas."
"He was complaining about how big his ass looked in his pants! I was helping."
"You were being a jerk."
Jaejoong scoffed and waved Yunho away. He slumped down on the couch and was quickly pestered by a tipsy and upset Yoochun.
"Hyung!" the younger boy whined, resting his head in Jaejoong's lap. "Tell the angry thing with the long legs to beat it. This is our tradition."
Changmin, still wrapped around Junsu, looked over with a scowl. "The thing with the long legs brought the expensive alcohol you've been hogging from the rest of the group." Yoochun ignored him and gave Jaejoong a pleading look.
"He's Yunho and Junsu's friend. He can stay." Jaejoong petted Yoochun's head and pushed his glass of liquor from his reach. Whiny Yoochun appeared a few drinks after Affectionate Yoochun and a couple drinks before Depressed Yoochun, which meant that he'd drunken more than enough for the night.
"But they're gross!" Yoochun pouted. "Grosser than you and Ho-Ho."
"I'm glad you only come up with these nicknames for me when you're drunk," Yunho quipped drily.
"And we're not gross," Jaejoong added. "We don't even do PDA."
Yoochun giggled before reaching blindly for his glass. "You two bitching at each other is your PDA. I knew you were in love with each other the first time I saw you glare at each other."
"Did too. I know everything!" Yoochun sang the last word before breaking into a fit of laughter.
"You mean you drink everything," Jaejoong told him, poking his cheek. The younger man laughed harder still before burying his face into Jaejoong's belly and hugging his waist
"Should I be jealous?" Yunho asked. He leaned against Jaejoong, knocking their shoulders together gently. "He gets to lie all over you and be babied."
"Don't pout, Yunho-yah. I'll let you lie all over me later in private."
Yunho raised his eyebrows in a leer that caused Jaejoong to laugh warmly. Their quiet flirting was interrupted by Yunho's ringing phone
"It's Heechul," he said with a touch of apprehension.
"Well, don't ignore him," Jaejoong prompted softly. "Answer it."
Yunho stood and went to the quietest corner of the room to speak. He returned to the group a few seconds later, a confused look on his face, and the phone held out to Jaejoong.
"He wants to talk to you," Yunho said, surprise evident in his voice.
Yunho shrugged. "He wouldn't tell me."
With a sigh, Jaejoong unwound Yoochun from around his waist and stood up to take the call. "Hello?"
"He's mine on Sundays," Heechul said without preamble.
"Yunho. Is mine. On Sundays."
Jaejoong stepped away from the screeching, off-key final notes of Changmin's and Junsu's rendition of "Telephone" to a quieter spot in the room. "What are you trying to say?"
An annoyed sigh could be heard on the other line. "I'm not evil, dumb dongsaeng. Yunho seems really happy lately. A certain kind of physically-induced happiness that I cannot get rid of short of cutting off his dick. So, I'll let him cuddle up to you all he wants, but on Sundays, he's mine."
"What's so special about Sundays?"
"You expect me to believe you go to church every Sunday?"
"Yunho goes to church every Sunday with his family and all that singing, praying, and praising gets him in a wonderfully generous mood. I'm not about to have my delicious Sunday breakfast and fellowship with the Jungs taken away because of you. He's stood me up for the last four; I'm not missing out on any more."
"Is that why you were so pissed? Because Yunho wasn't taking you out to breakfast?"
"I already told you why I was pissed: I don't like people taking my things without permission."
Jaejoong swallowed and looked back at where his friends were fighting over which song they'd sing next. ("I don't care how great you think your French is," Changmin snapped at Yoochun, "we're not singing 'Lady Marmalade.'" "Ho-Ho, I hate your friend!" Yoochun cried.) There was always bickering, there was always teasing, and, at times, there was the feeling of wanting to smash each other's faces in, but bubbling below all that, there was always love. His eyes rested on Yunho and he smiled to himself. "Does this mean I have your permission now?" he asked softly.
There was a heavy silence before Heechul answered. "Except on Sundays," he answered finally.
Jaejoong didn't even try to suppress the happiness in his voice. "I still get him for lunch."
"No fair. That's the only time we get to hang out during the school day."
"We'll just see where Yunho wants to sit: with his life-long friends or with his creepy new boy-toy and his creepier friends."
"Yes," Jaejoong purred seductively into the phone. "We'll let him decide which one of us he enjoys spending time with more."
"Ew," Heechul huffed. A moment later, he sighed. "Fine. You get him for lunch. But he's not your damn waiter, so stop ordering him around like he is."
"Okay. No more bossing." He looked over again to the group and noticed that Yunho was watching him with curiosity. "Does this mean you and I are friends? You know, for his sake."
Heechul scoffed. "Get real. You're still annoying." A dull click and Yunho's phone beeped to signal that the call had ended.
"Everything okay?" Yunho asked when Jaejoong rejoined the group on the couch.
Jaejoong laced his fingers with the other boy, their matching couple rings (Jaejoong's Christmas gift to Yunho) sparkling faintly in the dim light
"It's perfect," he said. He leaned in and kissed Yunho, tasting the sweetness of the other boy's mouth. "Everything is absolutely perfect."
(A few seconds later, Yoochun, who'd decided that he felt like dancing, stopped his frenzied spinning, turned and bent over to throw up on Jaejoong's feet. Jaejoong shrieked before hurrying out of the room in disgust with a laughing Yunho trailing behind him.
"I agree with Yoochun," Changmin snorted. "They should save all that mushiness for when they're alone."
"You don't like mush?" Junsu asked as he poured himself a glass of wine. "I'll remember that, dongsaeng."
Changmin sputtered as he hurried to reply. "I didn't mean ... I like mush! I just don't like watching them." He shuffled closer as stealthily as he could to press against Junsu. "And don't call me 'dongsaeng'; use my name."
Junsu smiled sweetly before kissing the corner of Changmin's mouth. "You're mean when you're cute, Changmin-ah."
"You mean I'm cute when I'm mean?"
Junsu shook his head. "Nope," he said simply. He leaned forward to kiss the other side of Changmin's mouth
From his spot on the couch where he'd fallen in his dizzy and drunken stupor, Yoochun whimpered piteously before turning away from the beaming young couple. "I want love, too.")
A/N: I don't know how this got so long. I just wanted to write something cute. D= I had so much fun doing this, tho. I hope everyone enjoys the story and a special shout out to brownbox72, who wanted "a little sexual tension, a little hostility and misunderstandings but secretly all love and fluff and cotton candies." I hope you enjoy the story and have a wonderful, happy new year.
... *sighs* Crybaby, Jaejoong. OTL
