Fic: "Defining Love," TVXQ/DBSK/Tohoshinki

Summary: Yunho is a slow learner.
Warning: Sappy. Written in about an hour for Tumblr. (Things written on Tumblr will not go through my normal, nit-picky editing process)

Yunho would give up the very air from his lungs if Jaejoong needed it. He’d offer up the blood in his veins for the man.
The sound of his heartbeat—steady and calm—soothes Yunho because that means all is well in the world of Jaejoong. So all is well with him, too.
His feelings don’t go unnoticed. Fan girls giggle at him and stylists smile like they know a secret. Love they tell him as if he’s a slow-witted child.
Yunho doesn’t think he knows what love is. He knows that when Jaejoong smiles, he suddenly feels the urge to smile, too; that when the other is near, he wants him nearer; and that when Jaejoong closes his eyes in exhaustion and rests his head on his shoulder, that Yunho wouldn’t mind if he remained there forever.
But love was supposed to come with touches and caresses and a physical intimacy he can’t ever see having with his lead singer. Love could exist between a man and a woman, but Yunho didn’t know what could happen between a man and his best friend.
Jaejoong catches him staring one day and asks him what’s on his mind. Yunho hesitates to tell him everything. Instead he just asks as lightly as he can, What would it mean if I never wanted us to be apart?
Love Jaejoong tells him as if he’s made a wondrous discovery. Yunho balks and begins to back away, confused and maybe just a little frightened.
The older man pulls him back, ever the patient teacher, and suddenly lips are touching lips, and Yunho is receiving some of the air Jaejoong breathes. Startled, he bites down hard on soft flesh. Jaejoong whimpers, but doesn’t pull away.
Yunho tastes blood and the awkwardness of the kiss is overcome with the need to stop the hurt. He concentrates on Jaejoong’s lower lip, licking away the warm blood and suckling it until the bleeding stops. Jaejoong moans and presses closer, encouraging Yunho’s ministrations. The younger man begins to press his lips to Jaejoong’s in a quick, desperate pace. Kisses to make it all better.
When they break apart, Jaejoong is staring at him, eyes wide and shiny. His lower lip is swollen and strawberry red.
Why’d you do that? Yunho asks, his voice breaking. I hurt you. That was not what love was. It couldn’t be what love was. Nothing he felt about the other was supposed to hurt.
Jaejoong just smiles. Love he repeats and latches on to Yunho again.
A/N: Tumblr writing has been very therapeutic for me. I made a deal with myself that I would just write and not care if it sucked or not. No expectations, no length/word requirements, no commitments. It's more like a journal than LiveJournal is. I'm working on a chaptered story for another fandom and I'm having a real hard time with it. This was such a nice release. I hope you enjoyed. =)
