Summary: Don't come crying to Changmin when you lose an eyeball. Day 4 of Ho!Ho!ShinKi!
Warning: Nothing I can think of...
Disclaimer: If I owned them, we'd all be getting a reunion concert for Christmas.

"What is it?"

"It's a parrot, Minnie-ah."

"I got that. Why is it in our living room?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Yunho said with a smile. "It's a gift from the fans."

Looking at the bird again, it was fairly obvious. The beautiful green bird was sitting on a perch in a gold cage with a large red bow tied on the front of the cage door.

"Here's the card that came with it," Yunho said handing a heavy red envelope to Changmin before heading into the kitchen. "Manager-hyung brought it up this morning."

Yunho returned to the room and set a small package of crackers down on their coffee table. He reached over to open the cage door.

"What are you doing?" Changmin asked with slight panic.

Yunho smiled and clicked his tongue at the bird before answering. "I'm gonna feed it."

"Are you crazy? Don't get too close to that thing," Changmin warned, pulling Yunho back. "It could peck out one of your eyes or something."

"I didn't know you were afraid of birds, Min."

"I'm not. I just don't think playing with strange, pointy-faced animals is all that smart."

Yunho scoffed and leaned close to open with the cage door. "It's just a little bird," he replied reaching in to pet the animal. The parrot chirped as Yunho ran a finger across its yellow chest. "See?"

No, Changmin didn't see. He sighed and took a few steps back from the large cage.

Who in the world thought members of one of Asia's most popular boy-bands wanted a parrot for Christmas? They had no place for the thing in their apartment and no time to care for it, either. It would most likely be given away to one of their staff members or to an animal shelter.

And why was Yunho so excited about the thing? He already had a house of dogs to care for. How were Vic and Taepoong going to treat a bird?

Changmin's thoughts were interrupted by a loud yelp from Yunho. When he looked over, he saw the older man clasping his hand tightly and wincing in pain.

"Hyung!" Changmin rushed to the other man's side. "What happened?"

"Aish, nothing," Yunho answered as he continued squeezing his hand. "The bird bit me."

"I told you to be careful."

"Save it, please."

"Let me see your hand."

Yunho spread his fingers wide and winced. The hand was a bloody mess. The parrot's relatively big beak had bit down hard on the knuckle of Yunho's index finger, and when he had wrenched his hand away, it had slashed the finger down to the tip.

"This is gross, hyung." Changmin supplied helpfully.

"Thank you, Minnie."

The younger man shook his head. One of the consequences of living with his too-trusting hyung meant he was often the one who had to put him back together again when he got hurt. "Wait here. I'll go get something to clean this up."

Changmin ran to their bathroom and returned a few seconds later with a bottle of rubbing alcohol, cotton balls and a package of gauze. The wound wasn't too bad to clean up. The bleeding had stopped quickly, thanks to Yunho's squeezing, and much of his skin had remained in place.

"This will sting," Changmin warned before dabbing an alcohol-soaked cotton ball up and down the wound.

Yunho hissed and pulled his hand away. Changmin snatched it back.

"Don't be a baby, hyung." Yunho pouted, but remained still as Changmin wrapped the gauze around his finger.

"There," he said as he tied the dressing. "All finished."

Yunho examined his hand and tried to wiggle his finger. "I guess," he said with a sigh. "I won't be able to do much with this hand until the pain goes away."

Changmin rolled his eyes.  He grabbed Yunho's hand back and placed a kiss on the knuckle of his wounded finger and another on the tip. "There," he said again. "No more pain."

Yunho flushed slightly. "Thanks, Minnie-ah" he mumbled. He looked over at the bird still sitting on the perch. It spread its blue-tipped wings out and rustled its feathers.

"What'll we do with that thing?"

"You don't want to keep him anymore."

Yunho just gave him a look.

Changmin smirked. "Fine." He thought for a moment, before grinning impishly.

"What do you think parrot tastes like?"

A/N: A brief explanation: When I first started working on this series, I was going to actually going to do it with a "12 Days of Christmas" theme. All the presents from the song and such. (Can you imagine the cross-over opportunities with 9 ladies dancing?) This would have been the partridge in a pear tree entry. Hence, random gift parrot.

And this is totally late. I over slept. My bad. =(
