Summary: Nothing says Christmas like blinking electric lights. Day 4 of Snow Globes for Christmas.
Warning: Not one I can think of.
Disclaimer: I can't even afford all the DVDs. =(
Carlton could have done without the waving snowman and the dancing elves. The lights decorating the roof were nice, he'd admit, but he certainly was not about to tolerate the 6-foot-inflatable snow globe that sat in the center of his lawn.
"Dude! You're home early." Shawn came running out of the front door wearing a pair of work gloves and a Santa hat.
"Shawn," he asked as calmly as he could. "What the hell is all this?"
"Christmas decorations, duh. The house was looking a bit boring, so we fixed it up."
"'We'?"
"Gus was here earlier, but he split after I inflated the winter wonderland snow globe."
"Smart man," Carlton muttered.
Shawn grabbed Carlton's hand. "Come on, dude. You have to see the best part." He dragged the older detective past an animated, blinking train and rainbow-colored angels to a golden archway standing on the front porch.
Shawn took the hat off his head and placed it on Carlton's. "Shawn," he sighed. "I had a real hard day and I don't feel like—"
"Look up," Shawn said softly.
Carlton looked above his head and saw hanging from the wire frame of the arch dozens of sprigs of mistletoe.
"Now you have to kiss me, not once, not twice, but 50 times whenever we leave or enter the house."
"Shawn, how did you—" Carlton began.
"Less talking, more kissing."
With an indulgent sigh, Carlton leaned forward and pressed a gentle kiss on Shawn's lips. He then continued down his jaw and back up to the skin behind Shawn's ear, leaving 50 short and sweet kisses.
"Shawn," he breathed low into the shell of his ear.
"Mmmm?" the other man purred, leaning closer.
"Get rid of that snow globe or you're sleeping on the couch until New Year's." With that Carlton pressed a kiss to Shawn's nose and headed inside the house.
The younger man scowled for a moment before kicking the ground. "Grinch," he yelled into the house.
"You know you love me!" Carlton shouted back.
A/N: I knew it would happen at some point. I'm a bit behind on the drabbles because of the weekend. Will catch up by tomorrow, tho. Thanks for sticking with me.
